Biography

Babacar Diamé is a Senegalese politician and member of the Alliance for the Republic (the ruling party) . Originally from the Fatick region, it is today deputy and mayor of the town of Foundiougne. Elected town councilor in the city for the first time in 2009, he will succeed himself in July 2014, under the colors of Benno Bokk Yaakaar (coalition of parties in power) . At the National Assembly, the deputy mayor is also the Chairman of the Technical Committee on Finance. Babacar Diamé was as departmental representative of Apr Foundiougne for the Diaspora, before being replaced by Coulibaly in 2014.
