 It is created , as provided by law Directive No. 2009-20 of 4 June 2009 on the implementing agencies , an agency called " National Agency of Civil Aviation and Meteorology ( ANACIM ) , person moral of public law , endowed with financial autonomy.

The Agency , which replaces the National Agency of Civil Aviation of Senegal ( ANACS ) and the Agency

National Meteorology of Senegal ( Anams )

is under the technical supervision of the Minister

Missions
                
 The National Agency of Civil Aviation and
Meteorology ( ANACIM ) is responsible for the management,
monitoring and regulating the activities of Civil Aviation and Meteorology of Senegal.
In addition to the duties stipulated by the Code of
Civil Aviation Agency is also responsible for:
- The promotion and implementation of the state policy in the field of civil aviation and meteorology;
- The negotiation of bilateral agreements and
multilateral as part of authorizations and mandates by the state;
- The development of a technical regulation of civil aviation and meteorology with the standards of the Organization of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO); - The development and implementation of
civil aviation strategy, meteorology and air transport, under guidance
national priority;
- The enforcement of national regulations and international conventions signed and ratified by Senegal;
- Portfolio management of traffic rights under aviation agreements signed by the Government of Senegal;
- Monitoring the safety and supervision of the safety of civil aviation;
- Coordination, supervision and control of all aviation, airport and meteorological activities in Senegal and monitoring
the activities of international and regional organizations
acting in the field of civil aviation and meteorology;
- Monitoring the management of land assets of the State assigned to the Civil Aviation and Meteorology;
- Monitoring the management of land assets of the State assigned to the Civil Aviation and Meteorology;
- Monitoring and management of state commitments to civil aviation and meteorology;
- The operation, inspection and maintenance of all weather stations including rainfall stations spread over the
National territory ; 

- Coordination of operations applied research and basic research in meteorology by creating a basic weather and climate data ; - The satisfaction of meteorological support requirements necessary for maritime safety. Nationally or internationally , and as appropriate, the Agency is a member of Law Commissions Committees , Assemblies and Councils whose purpose relates to its mission. The Agency is represented by its Director General or any other person it has designated .
