Biography

Baldé Alpha is a Senegalese politician and teacher by profession. Member of the Alliance for the Republic, he was interim coordinator of that party in Kolda , his hometown , before the last presidential election. Since 2012, he was elected to the National Assembly under the banner of the coalition Benno Bokk Yaakaar . Former chairman of the health and social work committee, the member for Kolda was especially shown in the voting process of the tobacco control law in Senegal. The effort by some Senegalese Parliamentarians for harmonization of African laws against female circumcision is also out on his own. To date , the member Alpha Baldé is the chairman of the defense committee and security , to the Chamber.
