Born in Fouladou (Kolda region), Moussa Balde is research professor, holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics. He directs the Laboratory of Geometry and Applications, Faculty of Science and Technology of the University Cheikh Anta Diop (UCAD).
Joined the Department of Mathematics and Computer UCAD as Assistant, he moved Lecturer in 2001 and Associate Professor in 2008. Internationally, Moussa Balde is a research associate at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics ( ICTP) in Italy. He is a member of the International Centre for Pure and Applied Mathematics (CIMPA).
Young Executive of the Alliance for the Republic (APR), Baldé entered politics with the RPA University Network of which he is the coordinator. During the 2014 Local, General Director of the Company for Agricultural and Industrial Development (SODAGRI) led the list of the presidential coalition Benno Bokk Yaakaar (BBK) to elect the members of the county council in Kolda, at the end where he was elected president.
It was in January 2013 that Moussa Balde gets to head the Directorate General SODAGRI with new challenges especially regarding the revitalization of the company following the enlargement of areas of intervention which now concern the regions of Tamba , Kédougou and natural Casamance.
