Kedougou has a number of ecotourism attractions.Peace Corps Volunteers in Kedougou lead development efforts, Peace Corps Kedougou including the first ever district-wide universal mosquito bed net coverage in Senegal.

Biography

William Manel is a Senegalese civil administrator. He is the current head of Kédougou Regional Executive. Previously prefect of the department of Mbour in Thies , William Manel was entrusted with the territorial administration of the former department of Tambacounda , erected in 2008. William Manel region is however not the first to occupy the governance of this new region of Senegal. It has in fact taken the place of the governor Moustapha Dieng, called to other duties in January 2015.
